Soberman’s Estate would like to congratulate our own Dr. Thomas Gazda for being honored by the American Psychiatric Association as a Distinguished Life Fellow. This recognition puts Dr. Gazda in an elite group of psychiatrists who are recognized as having made significant contributions to the field of psychiatry.
A Fellow is an outstanding psychiatrist who has made significant contributions in the fields of Psychiatry & Neurology.
Dr. Gazda was on the preopening team of Soberman’s Estate and has consistently been the Medical Director of Soberman’s Estate. As an expert in his field, Dr. Gazda has board certifications in family practice, psychiatry, and addiction medicine with special expertise in treating anxiety, affective and psychotic disorders. He is also a fully trained psychoanalyst and has trained in group relations. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
His experience includes applying psychodynamic principles to a variety of treatment modalities including crisis intervention, short and long-term psychotherapy, couples therapy, group therapy, psychotherapy supervision in conjunction with pharmacotherapy. Dr. Gazda has become highly proficient in cutting edge pharmacotherapy through his clinical trials research work and collaboration with over 20 major pharmaceutical companies as well as extensive clinical practice.
Congratulations to Dr. Gazda for being honored with what is essentially a lifetime achievement award while he is still actively practicing and continuing to make meaningful contributions to the field of psychiatry.
